BACKGROUND - The subject property, which previously contained a single-family dwelling was acquired and demolished by the County of Orange as part of the Katella Avenue Smart Street Project to allow for the widening of the existing public right of way. Upon completion of the street improvement project in 2012, portions of several properties (“remainder lots”) were left unused and were considered surplus. In October 2013, the County sold the properties at a public auction. The project site is currently vacant and similar remnant lots to the west have since been developed into single-family dwellings.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Orange County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, 10 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California at their regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. on February 28, 2017.

The public hearing shall be for the purpose of considering the adoption of the proposed Complementary Paratransit Plan.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 requires that public entities that operate fixed-route transportation services also provide complementary paratransit services for individuals whose disabilities make them unable to use the fixed route. In addition, the regulations require that those public entities subject to the complementary paratransit requirements develop and administer a process for determining if individuals who request service meet the regulatory requirements for eligibility. Finally, those entities are required to prepare and adopt an ADA Complementary Paratransit Plan to document its compliance with these and other paratransit regulatory provisions

This plan is prepared by the County of Orange for unincorporated County area the southeast area of the County which will be serviced through RanchRide through Rancho TMA [a Transportation Management Association] (”County”).

All grading is proposed to be balanced on site with 730 cubic yards of cut and fill.

Hall of Administration Parking Lot to Permanently Close

Beginning July 26, the parking lot immediately west of the County of Orange Hall of Administration (HOA) will be permanently closed as crews move forward with the Civic Center Master Plan and the construction of a new Building 16.

The parking lot, also referred to as P4, is located at the intersection of Ross Street and Santa Ana Boulevard. To ensure continued availability of parking to Civic Center visitors, the County will be redirecting drivers to alternate parking locations listed at the following link: http://bit.ly/2vg5mfv.
