CCISDA Recognizes OCIT for Outstanding Innovation

CCISDA Recognizes OCIT for Outstanding Innovation

The California County Information Services Directors Association (CCISDA) is the official organization of county IT directors and CIO’s throughout the state of California. CCISDA represents all 58 California counties in the area of information technology and county government.

CCISDA facilitates the sharing of new computer applications and products, staff development and training, consulting services to member counties and support organizations, and systems integration work between counties, the State of California and the federal government. CCISDA members also regularly participate in many statewide and national government and technology organizations.

CCISDA meets officially in conference twice each year. The conference covers a four-day period, and includes specialized course work, workshops, seminars and information exchange in the above outlined areas, as well as a complete show of new products and services by some of America’s major corporations who specialize in local government IT.

This conference also incorporates annual Innovation Awards, presented at the Fall event. These awards recognize California counties and IT professionals in government organizations for their dedication, hard work and innovative contributions. This is a unique opportunity to spotlight exceptional technology initiatives and to share, learn, and be recognized by peers.

OCIT has been recognized for its Enterprise Privacy & Cybersecurity program in the category of collaboration in a County with a population of 700,000 or more. Joel Golub, Chief Information Officer (CIO), KC Roestenberg, Assistant CIO, and Linda Le, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will be traveling to San Diego to accept the award on OCIT’s behalf and give a brief presentation on the program.

Additionally, OCIT will be participating in a collaboration seminar along with seven other counties and will be presenting the Innovation Engine initiative.
