Join OC Parks Naturalists along with Laguna Canyon Foundation volunteers and bring your young ones (infant to age three) to explore Aliso's wild backyard. Take a leisurely stroll through the garden and to the creek. We will see bugs, plants, and birds and explore! Rangers and OC Parks staff may even host a game or introduce a local resident to the children. Come join the fun!

Art is for Everyone - Fountain Valley

Let your story become part of the library!

We welcome art about stories of coming to California or that share cultural traditions.

Adults can pick up a free blank notebook, fill it with art, and return it to the library by November 30th. Art will be exhibited and the notebooks will become part of the library's collection. Opening exhibition and reception held in December.

Notebooks can be picked at the Fountain Valley, Garden Grove Main, and Westminster Libraries.

Wild Tales
OC Parks - Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve
 Location: Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve

Bring your little wild ones to learn about nature and enjoy the outdoors. Join us for a fun-filled parent and child experience including storytelling, a guided nature walk, and arts and crafts. Trails are sandy/muddy so wear closed-toe shoes and clothing suitable for outdoors. Strollers are not recommended on the trails.

  • Program and crafts are tailored for preschool level (ages 2-5), however all ages that enjoy the experience are welcome to attend.
  • Registration required, please visit www.letsgooutside.org/wildtales and make sure you select the correct date.  
  • Fee: $5 per child. Payment collected at the event.
