The County provides a variety of programs and resources to encourage and support employee wellness.
OC Healthy Steps: Annual Health and Wellness Program

This year’s OC Healthy Steps Wellness period is June 1, 2020 through August 23, 2020.

New wellness site, new features, better health. New website - ochsstaywell.com.

You can get started on the new site on June 1, 2020. Since its new, everyone will have to click “Sign Up” and create a username and password.

This year the program consists of two steps:

1.    Health Risk Assessment (HRA)

2.    Non-smoking Attestation.

Each step is quick and easy (average time is 20 minutes to complete both)!

What about the Biometric Screening?

As a result of concerns related to the COVID-19 health crisis, we are waiving the Biometric Screening portion of OC Healthy Steps this year. We do not want to require a routine preventative screening when:

1.    There is a drain on health care resources to deal with COVID-19; and

2.    People are advised to stay at home and minimize contact with others.

If you still want to get a Biometric Screening for your own benefit, you can visit your health care provider. There will be no cost for the visit as long as it is billed to your health plan under “preventative benefits.” If you are being treated for an active medical condition that requires similar lab tests, you may be charged a copayment/coinsurance.

To earn your 2020 wellness credit, complete your OC healthy Steps Between June 1 and August 21, 2020. Our new wellness site will be available at ochsstaywell.com beginning
June 1, 2020.

Feel Like a Million Challenge

It's a 12-week program designed to help you feel your best and improve overall health. In this fun, interactive game show themed program, you'll learn healthy habits to reduce stress and sustain energy for work and play. If you want the stamina to take on the toughest challenges and still have the mental energy to pursue other interests...if you'd like balance in your life that minimizes stress and allows you to focus on your priorities...then Feel Like a Million is the program for you.

Your goal is to accumulate a virtual $1 million in 12 weeks (February 10, 2020 - May 2, 2020) by practicing healthy habits in 5 core areas:

  • Moving Matters (continuous exercise, morning exercise bonus, 2-min time-out)
  • Food to Fuel (breakfast, fruits/veggies, water)
  • Better Balance (structured planning, meaningful connecting, active relaxation)
  • On Purpose (personal mission statement, meditation, journal)
  • Potpourri - miscellaneous important actions (sleep 7-9, gratitude, volunteer)

Prizes will be given to the top three individual dollar earners, as well as the top team (team size must be four to five members)!* To participate log into your account at https://ochealthysteps.staywell.com.
