    News ImageMay 8, 2020  Guidelines to Follow for Your Adoption AppointmentWe want to provide you with the safest and best service possible. Please read and follow these guidelines while at OC Animal Care to help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.

    • Practice social distancing. Maintain a distance of at least six feet from other people.
    • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before and after you interact with any OC Animal Care staff, volunteers or pets.
    • OC Animal Care is following the guidelines of the OC Health Care Agency and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We strongly encourage those who are experiencing symptoms, have knowingly been exposed, or are considered high-risk at contracting COVID-19 to postpone any adoptions at this time. Please alert staff if you are experiencing any symptoms.
    • We recommend you wear a mask when entering our facility per CDC guidelines.

    There is no evidence that animals can contract or spread COVID-19. Please visit the Center for Disease Control (CDC) webpage for information on pets & COVID-19.

    Is OC Animal Care closed to the public?
    OCAC is closed to walk-in visitors but continues to provide essential services to the public. OCAC has temporarily moved to an appointment-based system to limit visitors and continue to safely serve our community.
