Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As concern over the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) increases, Orange County Housing Authority is implementing the following actions temporarily:

Until further notice, OCHA is temporarily suspending all face-to-face office visits.

All inquiries and questions should be made via phone call, email and by mail. Instead of visiting our office, please call or email your case worker. If you don't know your case worker's phone number or email address, please click here.

If you do not know who your case worker is, please call (714) 480-2700.

OCHA will continue to monitor the situation and update our website as things change.

HUD NOTICE PIH 2020-05

Pursuant to the authority provided under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act (Public Law 116-136), HUD is waiving and establishing alternative requirements for numerous statutory and regulatory requirements for the Housing Choice Voucher program. These waivers provide administrative flexibilities and relief to public housing agencies in response to the COVID-19 national emergency. With respect to the Housing Choice Voucher program, use of these waivers is at the discretion of the Public Housing Agency; however, HUD strongly encourages PHAs to utilize any and all waivers and alternative requirements as necessary to keep public housing and HCV programs operational to the extent practicable. As such, OCHA will exercise use of the following waivers, which apply to the rental assistance OCHA provides on behalf of tenants:
