Orange County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council
The Orange County Probation Department is seeking community representatives to serve on the Orange County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council. The Council has four positions that are available to members of the public:
The Orange County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council assists the Chief Probation Officer in developing a comprehensive, multi-agency juvenile justice plan to develop a continuum of responses for the prevention, intervention, supervision, treatment and incarceration of juvenile offenders, in accordance with Welfare and Institutions Code Section 749.22 and Government Code Section 30061.

The Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council will review the application. After review and acceptance by the Council, membership must be approved by a vote of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
Please note that members of the Orange County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council must annually file a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) pursuant to Government Code Section 87200. The statement is a personal disclosure of assets and income. The purpose of financial disclosure is to alert public officials to personal interests that might be affected while they are performing their official duties (i.e., making governmental decisions). Disclosure also helps inform the public about potential conflicts of interest.
