NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 8-2-18 BY THE ORANGE COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATOR
SUBJECT - Public Hearing on Planning Application PA180016 for a Use Permit to allow two architectural features (pole towers) of a proposed outdoor climbing structure to be up to 42 feet 6 inches and 43 feet 9 inches in height where the A1 General Agriculture District’s height limit is 35 feet maximum.
PROPOSAL – A proposal to reconstruct a Boy Scout climbing structure that sustained fire damage to include two of the structure’s tower elements to exceed 35 feet in height. Zoning Code Section 7-9-129.3 would allow architectural features not used for sleeping or eating quarters or for any commercial purpose to exceed the district building height limit by up to ten (10) feet subject to a Use Permit approved by the Zoning Administrator.
LOCATION: The project is located in the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center (IROEC) adjacent to Irvine Regional Park at 2 Irvine Park Road within the Third Supervisorial District.
